Taking advantage of the Napa Valley grape harvest, or crush, The Wine Country Inn has announced a joint program with Nord Vineyards to allow guests to “taste the grapes” during the months of September and October.
The “taste the grapes” program is part of the Wine Country Inn’s very popular “Inn-cursion” winery tour program, where up to three couples spend a day with a driver/guide for a day of wine tasting and touring. The Inn-cursion program includes visits to at least three NapaValley wineries, a gourmet lunch prepared by the Inn’s staff, and a scenic tour of some of the Napa Valley’s most picturesque spots.
Julie Nord, of Nord Vineyards, said guests love to compare the taste of the grapes with wine. “It’s a unique experience, one which can only happen six or seven weeks a year,” Nord said. “A big part of picking grapes depends on how they taste, so winemakers are tasting grapes too right now.”
The “taste the grapes” program will last as long as the grape harvest does. For information on the Wine Country Inn’s Inn-cursion program, or to check availability or make a reservations, please call the Wine Country Inn toll-free at 1-888-465-4608.
